I was born on Dominica in 1951 and educated on island. In 1973 I entered the Jaycees Miss Dominica Carnival Queen pageant and came 1st Runner Up which entitled me to enter the 1973 Miss Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA), where I won the crown. Later in 1973 I continued my education in England at the Lucie Clayton Secretarial College, London.
My work experience included working with the Gov’t of Dominica, the Jamaica High Commission, Grey Green Coaches Travel and Workers Educational Association (WEA). During that time I got married and have four wonderful children. I am a staunch Christian Methodist and very involved in my local church here and in Dominica.
I have been involved with UK Dominica associations over the years, and am currently more involved with the Dominica Secondary Schools Supporters Association (DASSSA) here in UK and Dominica; and the Waitukubuli Culture & Tourism Initiative (WCTI). I love showcasing Dominica and our culture especially our national outfits, national emblems and other items of interest. I AM DOMINICA!
